Hats, hats and more hats!

Could the hat match the shirt any better?


This past winter, I (Sarah) received an email from my grandmother saying that she was looking for a project to keep her busy during the long winter months.  Having heard her cry for a “project” I asked her if she and her friends wanted to knit some baby hats for the children at the Hope Crisis Nursery down the road from us.  She embraced the idea wholeheartedly.  

My grandmother asked a friend to teach her to knit and then she and her group of friends proceeded to make about 30 beautiful but different hats.  My mom mailed us the hats a couple of weeks ago and this past weekend we had the joy of delivering the knitted hats to the children at the crisis nursery.  The weather in the evenings and mornings are definitely getting cooler so these hats will be very much in use over the next few months.  On behalf of all the children at the Hope Crisis Nursery, a very special thank you to Gram and her friends: Harriett, Judy, Helen, Bunny and Martha.
