Maula Prison Update

Bringing in bags of maize for the prisoners

On behalf of the 2,000 plus prisoners at Maula Prison we want to thank you for the overwhelming generosity of so many of you to send money to purchase food for the prisoners.  Together, we raised just over $6,000, which not only blew our minds but the minds of the prison warden and the leadership at prison!

On Thursday, March 21st Bruce and Charles Msukwa (a former prisoner at Maula and a current ABC student) went into town to purchase 26 bags of maize, sacks of cabbages, greens, tomatoes and onions.  On Friday March 22nd, the prisoners enjoyed their first complete meal in several weeks.  We have enough money left over to do this a few more times in the coming week as well!

Thank you again for acting on Jesus' behalf to help people who are hungry, thirsty, sick, strangers and who are in prison.
