Spirtual Emphasis Week

Grace practicing "quiet" reflection
with the college students
This was Spiritual Emphasis week at the college.  What is this week all about?  Well, it is a week set apart every year where classes are cancelled and a guest speaker is brought in for the week.  The students participate in three sessions per day to listen to a guest speaker and have a time of prayer, worship and fellowship with each other.  In addition, each college faculty member hosts 16 students each morning in a time of devotion before the first chapel session.  This year’s speaker was Josh Deerinwater (from Texas) who spoke on the topic of reconciliation.  In addition to his powerful and challenging messages, the daily worship sessions were filled with God-honoring and lively music, singing and dancing!  We really enjoyed spending time with the students every morning, participating in worship (and dancing) and being spiritually challenged!  Although Bruce didn’t have any classes he was very busy organizing and coordinating each chapel and worship session, which all went smoothly.  We are so thankful that Spiritual Emphasis week 2012 was a blessing to so many.  Here are some pictures of our week.
