We are moving to Malawi, Africa! We have accepted a new ministry opportunity serving at the Africa Bible College in Malawi starting in August 2011. Here is a brief summary of what we will be doing, where we will be serving and our current prayer requests. For more frequent updates and information, make sure to check back here on our blog. 

WHERE WE WILL BE SERVING: We will be serving in Malawi, Africa. Malawi is a landlocked country in Eastern Africa surrounded by the countries of Tanzania, Zambia and Mozambique. The African Bible Colleges (ABC) is comprised of three different college campus in Liberia (1978), Malawi (1988) and in Uganda (2005). The purpose of ABC is to “train Christians in Africa for pastoral ministry, Christian service and leadership skills relevant to the continent. ABC is also committed to proclaiming salvation through Christ only, spreading the good news of the Word of God, and maintaining, preserving, perpetuating and uplifting Christian principles”.

WHAT WE WILL BE DOING: Bruce will be teaching a number of college classes, preaching and will be helping to develop a new Master’s degree program for the school. Sarah’s initial role will be to help the girls transition to new life in Malawi. After the transition, she hopes to be working part time in one of the many administrative offices on campus.

PRAYER REQUESTS: Although we will be here in the states for the next 10 months, we are now starting our preparations to transition our current life from Holliston, Massachusetts to Lilongwe, Malawi. We would greatly appreciate your prayers, especially for the following:

* A healthy baby #2 (due date October 15th).
* A smooth transition of leadership for Crossroads Community Church & Bruce’s continued role in the church over the next 10 months.
* Raising financial support for our new ministry.
* Planning and shopping for supplies for a container to be shipped in early spring. We will need everything for preparing a home to 3 years+ of clothes, basic supplies and Christmas and birthday presents for our girls.
